Shonen Suzuki Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

Shōnen was the son of the painter Hyakunen Suzuki but he preferred to use his own style for art which was a variant of the nihonga style. He was a professor at the Kyōto Prefectural School of Painting then left to be a fulltime painter. This gallery shows twenty of his flower and (or) bird paintings. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
